Biography

Dr Graeme Blackman AO is an experienced company director and trustee.  He is the Chairman of Leading Age Services Australia (LASA), Chairman of Aged and Community Care Providers Association (ACCPA), Chancellor of the University of Divinity, President of the Victorian Council of Churches, and Chairman of the National Stem Cell Foundation of Australia.  He is also a trustee of the Melbourne based philanthropic organisation the Leith Trust, Chairman of the Community Services Trust of Anglicare Victoria, Chairman of the Journal of Anglican Studies Trust and Chairman of the Johnston Collection of Fine and Decorative Arts Trust.

He is a former director of the Melbourne Anglican Diocesan Corporation and a former member of the Council and of the Board of Trinity College at the University of Melbourne.

He was formerly Chairman of Anglicare Victoria, a Director of Benetas Aged Care, a Board Member and Chairman of the Trinity College Foundation, and Deputy Chairman of Melbourne Grammar School.  He has recently stepped down as Deputy Chairman of the Australian Youth Orchestra.

He is a former Professor of Pharmaceutical Chemistry in the Victorian College of Pharmacy and has held appointments as a director on the boards of ASX public listed companies in the area of biomedical research and was for several years a Director and Deputy Chairman of Medicines Australia, the pharmaceutical industry peak body.
