Dallas Blackmore cares a lot. As a first generation Australian, from an early age Dallas felt a deep obligation towards the social good.

Dallas has qualifications in the arts and applied law and has experience across policy, program and strategic roles in government departments and statutory agencies. More recently Dallas has worked on policy responses to recommendations arising from the Royal Commission into Aged Care Quality and Safety and palliative care investment and reform. Her innate ability to normalise uncomfortable conversation provides vast public policy insight.

Her policy work was always informed by research, data and lived experience. After the recent death of her mother following a life limiting illness, she experienced first-hand the powerlessness of loss, but both the measurable and immeasurable value of choice, collaboration, and progressive care models. Despite being adept at advocacy and navigating health policy and services, Dallas points out that professional experience doesn’t prepare us for being a daughter who must engage with the complexities from the other side of the table.
