Speaker Bio

Since 2020 Dominique Evele has been the dedicated CEO of Amber Aged Care. She began her career in healthcare 18 years ago, graduating from her nursing degree in 2004.

Passionate about breaking down the barriers that people living with disability face when seeking employment, Dominique co-chairs the Road to Employment, Aged Care Community of Practice.

The Community of Practice, initiated by Purple Orange, was established to explore disability employment and the opportunities and benefits for the aged care sector.

Living with disability, Dominique has been able to draw on her personal experiences to help employers think differently about disability. She believes we can alter our recruitment processes and make adjustments in the workplace to be supportive and inclusive. She passionately believes that if we don’t, we miss out on the opportunity to employ a group of committed and compassionate people who have much to offer our industry.
