Geoff Rowe



Geoff is the CEO at Aged & Disability Advocacy (ADA) Australia, a Queensland based advocacy and human rights service. ADA Australia is the Queensland member of the Older Persons Advocacy Network (OPAN).

Geoff’s career spans more than 40 years and includes senior and executive roles in the Queensland Government and the NFP sectors. Geoff is currently Chairperson of the Public Trustee Advisory and Monitoring Board, and member of the Queensland Voluntary Assisted Dying Review Board.

He is formerly a member of the Notifications & Immediate Action Committees of the Medical Board of Australia, an OPAN representative on the National Aged Care Alliance, Board Director at Elder Abuse Action Australia (EAAA) and member of the Community Services Industry Alliance Reform Council.

In 2018 Geoff was awarded the prestigious Paul Tys Churchill Fellowship to examine world’s best practice in preventing and responding to elder abuse in aged care and the community. In 2019 Geoff traveled to the UK, Canada, USA and New Zealand to complete his fellowship.

He has a strong interest in human rights, social justice and inclusion.
