Gina Tresidder is a Principal at Russell Kennedy Lawyers and specialises in all aspects of privacy, data security and information technology. Gina regularly advises aged care and healthcare providers with regard to their obligations under privacy laws and is very experienced in drafting privacy policies and collection notices. Gina advises both public and private sector clients on their privacy and data protection obligations under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), Privacy and Data Protection Act 2014 (Vic), Health Records Act 2001 (Vic) and other legislation, particularly as these relate to software applications and the collection of information via new technologies. Gina assists clients with assessing and mitigating the privacy impacts of new projects and dealing with datasets used or collected in the course of the project. She has assisted various private sector organisations to navigate data breaches and comply with their obligations under the federal Notifiable Data Breach Scheme.
