Acting Ageing & Disability Commissioner, Ageing & Disability Commission


Kathryn McKenzie is the current Acting Ageing and Disability Commissioner and has been with the Ageing and Disability Commission (ADC) since its establishment in 2019, in her role as Director, Operations.

Prior to the ADC, Kathryn was Director, Disability at the NSW Ombudsman’s office where she managed the teams responsible for the Official Community Visitor scheme, disability-related complaints, investigations, death reviews, and led the standing inquiry into abuse and neglect of adults with disability. Kathryn’s background is in service provision, investigation, and oversight, including roles at the Community Services Commission, ICAC, the Public Guardian, and NGOs.
