Meg Schwarz has worked for over 35 years in project management and community engagement positions with diverse special population groups in Adelaide. She has recognised skills in stakeholder engagement, collaboration and consumer advocacy. She holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy from the University of Adelaide and is currently completing a Diploma in Dementia Care through UTAS. Meg is the Project Coordinator for Helping Hand Aged Care’s Real Care the Second Time Around Project, a project that supports Forgotten Australians to access aged care and other services. Meg identifies as a Forgotten Australian / Care Leaver, having spent her childhood in SA orphanages and understands the barriers to care for older people from complex trauma.
