ACCPA Pre-Budget Submission Member Engagement Workshop
Be part of the Budget process for aged care for 2024!
ACCPA will be holding a member engagement workshop for up to 48 member CEOs or a senior delegate to inform the development of the 2024 Pre-Budget Submission to Treasury (due in January 2024).
The workshop will be facilitated by ACCPA’s Policy and Advocacy team and will include some scene setting and a series of tailored engagement activities around Funding, Workforce and Reform.
We will use your insights and ideas to prepare a series of draft asks and recommendations that can then be tested with ACCPA members via other virtual workshops in due course, and later feed into a submission.
This limited capacity event is being held on the 24th October for ACCPA Member CEO’s and Senior Delegates (e.g. executives).

“Perception Is OUR Truth” Diversity & Cultural Immersion Masterclass
Join Sharon Wood – Kenny who is a proud Noongar Yamatjii with family linage to Whadjuk Country and across WA. Sharon also has heritage of Irish, Scottish & English, two-way learnings in healing self, prevention strategies, self-care, facilitation support groups & education workshops in behavioural change programs for living one’s best life. This masterclass will focus on building the cultural lens for closing the gap with systems change across community health and primary aged care services and staff induction training.

The Dementia Centre Cottage Experience Tour
Design is a powerful tool that influences the way we understand the world around us. This is especially true for people living with dementia. Experience Daw Park’s cottage style model of care hosted by our Dementia Centre Design Consultants, this tour will take you to an operational cottage at our Daw Park site.

- A short presentation covering why design matters, what makes a homelike model work and principles of dementia design.

*Please note, as an operational site and home to people living with dementia we will respect the resident’s privacy. The tour may be modified on the day to accommodate their experience.
